Colintraive Heritage Centre

Step back in time and visit the Colintraive Heritage Centre. A wonderful community museum, which captures local history and brings our heritage to life. See how folk lived and worked in the area in days gone by, with farm machinery, household and shop exhibits and even a wee school.

Spanning a period of 150 years. The centre holds are letters, maps, photographs and drawings, all illustrating ways of life, from crofting, farming, forestry and fishing.

Of course there is a great deal of geneology, so if you are connected to the area, or looking to explore your family roots, this centre is a ‘must’ to see.

The centre was opened on Saturday 9th May 2009 by Michael Russell MSP, and is maintained by community volunteers
