On Thursday 19th of December 2013, our Glen of the Red River Celebration Day was held at the Colintraive Heritage Centre.
The day was held as a way to celebrate the end of the workshops with the pupils of Kilmodan Primary School, and included a variety of activities for the pupils to engage with, including cooking, interviewing, knitting, drop-spinning, and interacting with the displays at the Heritage Centre.
We were very grateful to be joined by members of the local community who came along to support our celebration day, and spent time with the pupils of Kilmodan on a number of great interactive activities, which mapped on to the pupils identified “favourite” points from the Timeline.
Many thanks to Iain and Eileen Connon, Kirsteen Black, Ceci Alderton, Shona McKellar, and the staff and pupils of Kilmodan Primary School for helping to make the day such a fun-filled celebration!
